I've recently begun doing hot yoga with my neighbor Reena, as she actually works for a local yoga company called Core Power yoga. I set a goal to go three times a week in January and have been able to achieve that goal. I am someone who is completely inflexible, so I was nervous to start, but I've found that I really enjoy it. They offer a few different classes and I've enjoyed their medium level class, CP2. They also have a class called Core Power Sculpt, which involves working out with weights in an 80 degree room, which I'm pretty sure is crazy. The last one I went to I actually had to sit down as a I felt I might pass out, but the class was packed so clearly it has a draw......
I think as a mom it's easy to get lost in everyone else's needs and it has been nice to focus on myself a little bit during the week. I've felt a better sense of mind since I've done this, I'm not sure if it's just sticking to a goal or the actual working out, but it certainly has made a difference. Nick is a big believer in meditating and I know it works, but am just not sure it's my cup of tea. However, I have spent my time in yoga thinking about being intentional in my thoughts and actions and I do feel that it's made me more patient with Madison.
Here are a few of my yoga gear favorites below.
Lululemon - The Mat
Lululemon - Refresh Racer Tank
Athleta Chaturanga Tight
Under Armour Essential Bra
Also, Madison loves yoga! She can do downward dog perfectly.
